The staff of the Refugee Resettlement Office works directly with our refugee clients, volunteers, and partner organizations, to help refugees achieve self-sufficiency in King County.

Greg Hope

JumpStart Fund Director
Greg began his career at the Diocese of Olympia in April 1985. Since then he has witness firsthand the waves of refugees settling in the Puget Sound area: Vietnamese, Laotians and Cambodians from the Southeast Asian Diaspora starting business throughout the Rainier Valley and South Seattle; Ukrainians opening restaurants and delis in Kent; Somalis struggling with the alien concepts of finance and business expansion in the Sea-Tac area. Through his work as director of JumpStart Fund Greg recognizes the entrepreneurial and economic potential that these refuges bring to the Seattle area. His work allows him to play a part in these newcomer’s lives by helping them navigate the processes of starting a business in a new country.
